As every MLBB fan would know, MPL Season 4 started last weekend, with 10 teams vying for this season’s title. We from Axis Esports, with the recruitment of 4 players from Season 2 champions, Reborn which saw the born of Axis Bosskurr, earned an automatic invite into the competition’s regular season, which spans for six weeks before the Top 8 teams fight it out in an offline event.

Now enough with the invite stories, that is history. It’s time for the real deal. The game itself. Talk no more, action on the players’ mobile phones matter. With this season’s MPL earning a huge honor of being broadcasted LIVE on TV9 every Saturday and Sunday at 7pm, this season promises to be even bigger than three seasons prior.

ESPORTS ON A LIVE TELEVISION. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT.

NOW, ON TO THE GAMES.

DAY ONE. CURTAIN OPENER FOR MPL MY/SG SEASON 4.

We went up against Resurgence. One of the best in Singapore, one of the invited teams into this season’s competition. Last season’s Top 4 finishers. Revenge match for our players who did play, and lost against them in Lower Bracket Round 2. This time out though, with two new teammates in Axis, they approached the match-up with no fear. Axis, led by Rynn especially, became too good for the Singaporeans to handle as Team Axis ran out victorious 2-0 in quite a short time. 3 points in the bag, revenge complete as well. But it’s still early. We are not aiming for just a Day One result, hence the players trained and got ready for their second task of the weekend. A real daunting task. Not to be taken lightly if you wanna be the best.

AS THEY WENT HEAD TO HEAD AGAINST THE LAST SEASON’S CHAMPIONS, GEEK FAM ON DAY TWO.

The team that has been the most solid throughout last season, went on an unbeaten run during the Playoffs to win the whole thing, and were the public and pundit’s huge favorites to win in this season as well. They had a setback in Day 1, losing to last season’s runner-up EVOS, 0-2 but they would want to get back to their best form possible against Axis despite not having 2ez4Jepv available due to family commitments (congrats in advance for your newborn!)

Both games went tight with both teams strategically try to wore each other out, but thankfully we dealt the final blow to end it all! Loong made some crucial, crucial plays to ensure that Axis ended Week 1 with a perfect result with another 2-0 win to put us at the top of the table, with only EVOS Esports SG having a 4-0 record as well after 2 days of pro Mobile Legends action. But all in all, the whole team really deserve huge praises as every single one of them played their all and outperformed their foes.

PHEW, first hurdle done! Two tough teams we managed to get past, with convincing performances throughout. But like warriors, our players don’t go partying yet though, they still keep on training, even as I’m typing this article, to make sure they went the whole season with pure excellence and art of MLBB, so that we can capture the silverware this season and make not only us at Axis Esports happy, but also to the Malaysian fans who have been supporting like families!
